This page is dedicated to our Heel ‘N Time members who are no longer with us. We miss them dearly, but their spirits live on in every spin of our pinwheel, every cheer from the crowd, every smile on a face, and every wag of a tail. Their pawprints can never be filled, but will be forever imprinted on our hearts.
Linda Elliott-Horton
1959 - 2006
Linda was our good friend & cherished member who was taken from us much too soon. We are blessed to have her favorite Doxy, Sweet Pea, still with us
in Heel 'N Time.
Kyle
April 1992 - February 2002
Kyle was my first sheltie and competitive obedience dog. Even though he was fearful of new situations, he was by my side because I asked him to be there. He was a High in Trial Dog once and successfully completed 1 Utility leg before becoming ill. Always in my heart.

This gentle, devoted athletic
German Shepherd was taken from us too early in life. His intelligent, confident & sensitive nature has left us with a
large void in our souls. UDC Santana's Hide N Seek I'm It CGC, CDX, JH "Emmett"
December 28, 1997 - March 3, 2008
Emmett was trained in AKC Utility, and performed in the Heel 'N Time POD, where he thrilled crowds by using plush toys as scent articles. A therapy dog for eight years, he was credited with helping unresponsive patients and lowering blood pressures. Emmett was a volunteer for Golden Retrievers in Need
(GRIN) and also fostered over 10 goldens, two of whom became his brothers. Emmett became a seeing eye dog for Tommy, his blind adopted brother. His sweetness brought smiles to
everyone he met. Dan
March 31, 1997 - November 1, 2008
Dan was my one & only true and loyal friend, the one I could always count on. Search as I might, at this age, I'll never find another in my lifetime. He wasn't my dog, he was my partner, my soul mate. Knowing that he is gone tears at my very soul every time I think about him. I used to sign "Glenn-n-Dan", now the best I can do is "Glenn minus Dan
Romeo Sweet Romeo
August 9, 2000 - February 13,2010
I have truly never felt so brokenhearted and alone as I do without my Romeo, much like Shakespeare’s Juliet felt.
Act II, Scene II from
Romeo and Juliet
O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?...
What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet.
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo called,
Retain that dear perfection which he possesses.

Nowe
September 1994 - June 2008
Nowe, you came & blessed us with four years of sweetness & grace. A little lady you were, to the end, sashaying through the yard with your delicate paws and a lady-like swing to your gait. We will never regret bringing you home to live with us and feel very blessed to have spied you among the Rescue Village's offerings that warm summer day. You made our lives better every day you spent with us.

were part of my heart & soul. I only had

May 1, 1996 - August 9, 2007
Merlin didn't like the pressure of the
show ring. He joined Heel 'N Time when
it started and performed his last performance at the age of 9 at Lake Farmpark. He really loved the fun of it
& being there with all his friends. He was also a wonderful therapy dog for most of his life. He was truly my best friend.

Our All American rescued "wild child" brought us constant comic relief. He lived carefree & enjoyed chasing the squirrels. We learned patience and perserverance as he changed our lives forever.
Reilly CDX, TDIAOV September 26, 1998 – July 28, 2009
An Irish prayer for Reilly, my heart dog. No other could have loved me more. I'll love you forever Rei-boy.
God looked around His garden And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home.
Pepper, CGC, TDI, registered Pet Partner & member of Delta Society July 14, 2001 - April 29, 2010
The biggest problem with dogs is that they don't live long enough. They always seem to leave us when we are most
vulnerable, most in need of their biased, affirming presence. Dogs make us believe we can actually be as they see us, and it's often only when they are gone that we realize their role in what we've become.
